    About the role
    This is a full-time, ongoing position.

    The key purpose of the Director of Golf position is to provide overall management and leadership of the Golf Operations department.

    The successful applicant will work closely with the senior management team and will provide invaluable strategic input into the direction of the Club.

    Teaching and coaching will also be a critical element of this position.

    The Director of Golf will be responsible for providing lessons to Members and play an integral role in learn to play programs and provide club fitting expertise.

    Key ResponsibilitiesManagement of golf shop retail operations to a profitable standardFull accountability for golf operations including tee times, social bookings, public visitors, driving range, and coaching.

    Planning, execution, and administration of all elements of all golf competitions and tournaments as per the annual business plan and calendar of eventsAdministration tasks including rostering, reporting, and Match committee secretarial duties.

    Engaging with Members and guests ensuring the Club is meeting and exceeding expectations of service and product delivery.
    Work closely with the Management Team to develop and implement an annual business development strategy for the golf facility.
    Responsible for development of the knowledge and service levels of the Golf Operations team.
    Administer, design, and develop all game improvement programs including juniors, women's, seniors, and beginners.
    About you

    The successful applicant will be an experienced golf professional with extensive knowledge of the golf industry, preferably in a leadership role.

    You will be an enthusiastic leader with excellent staff management, interpersonal and relationship building skills.

    You will have advanced written and verbal communication skills and be able to analyse and report on Golf Operations performance and make recommendations to Senior Management and the board.

    The Director of Golf will have a passion for game development and working with a variety of golfers at all levels.

    You will bring fresh ideas to the role and constantly look for ways to develop Lonsdale Links' services and increase participation in golf.

    Qualifications and ExperienceAt least 5 years' experience working in Golf Operations (essential)Certified PGA Member (preferred)Advanced within Coaching/Small Business/Game Development with the PGA ACE Program (preferred)Qualifications in Business/Commerce/Sports Management or similar (preferred)What we offerGenerous salary with relocation assistance offered to the successful applicant.70% reimbursement for lessons conducted during work hours and 90% for lessons outside of work hours.
