    Description

    We are reducing the overall use of academic casual employment and providing meaningful pathways for casual academic staff to ongoing academic employment through our casual consolidation project.

    To be eligible, you must (a) Have casual experience totalling at least two (2) teaching sessions at La Trobe University in the previous two (2) years; (b) Have not held a continuing position in a university in the previous three (3) years.

    La Trobe University's School of Psychology and Public Health invites applications for the position of Lecturer in Health Information Management, a part-time (0.4 FTE) continuing role based at our vibrant Melbourne (Bundoora) campus.     As a Lecturer focused on Health Information Management, you will be an integral part of our mission to improve healthcare outcomes through education and innovation. Your expertise will contribute to developing curriculum, coordinating subjects, and providing an outstanding learning experience for students. This role is designed for those who have a scholarly approach to teaching, with a commitment to developing and evaluating innovative teaching and learning strategies.

    Skills and Experience

    A completed HDR or near completion, with a background in health information management, health classification, health informatics, and management of health information systems.

    Demonstrated excellence in teaching, curriculum development, and subject coordination across various modes of delivery, validated by student feedback and peer recognition.

    A record of innovative initiatives that have significantly improved the student experience, alongside a strong engagement with SoTL.

    Excellent organizational, communication, and collaborative skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams and student groups.
