    Job Description - Warehousing & Logistics Manager Warehousing & Logistics Manager Leadership opportunity to support and mentor teams Support with day to day operations of multiple warehouses across 2 sites Permanent full-time role, located in Newcastle UGLs Manufacturing and Maintenance business are looking for a high performing Warehousing & Logistics Manager to join our Newcastle Operations business, based at Broadmeadow.

    About your role As the Warehousing and Logistics Manager you will support and coordinate all facets of inventory and logistics management for Newcastle Operations for both UGL and customer owned inventory.

    This is a hand/s on role and is required to deliver day to day direct support services for all production requirements conducted within Newcastle Operations in conjunction with working with supply chain and logistics teams to efficiently manage all goods inward, storage, goods outward and logistics requirements.

    The role is responsible for the control, accuracy, and timely delivery of materials to production, sub-contractors, customers and other UGL sites as required.

    This role will be offered on a full-time permanent basis, with up to 20 direct reports.

    Reporting to the Operations Support Manager, other key responsibilities will include: Support with the day to day operations of the UGL Warehouses Ensuring all site SWMS, safety policies and processes and followed within operations and forklift movements across the sites Establish clear communication on the status of deliverables with Supply Chain, Quality and Production teams Actively create and maintain a culture of teamwork, openness, responsiveness, honesty, ethics and responsibility across the team Manage the selection and training of all team members, building a skilled, safe, accuracy and delivery focused team About you Ideally, you will have hands on practical experience working within a high bay warehouse as a Storesperson Previous experience in a similar role within rail, automotive, military, defence, avionics or any other safety critical environment Relevant management and supervisory experience, with sound understanding of cost control and performance management activities Tertiary education in procurement, supply chain, engineering or project management is desirable but again not essential.
