We are on the lookout for a talented and enthusiastic Cook to join our dedicated team on a part time basis, where you will play a crucial role in providing wholesome meals that nurture both body and soul.
The opportunity
- 8.30am - 4.30pm, Monday - Friday (some flexibility within half an hour on times)
- Use your culinary skills to whip up tasty and nutritious meals that cater to the unique dietary needs of growing children.
- Be a key player in fostering healthy eating habits from a young age, contributing to the overall well-being and development of our little ones.
- Join a warm and welcoming Early Learning centre where collaboration, creativity, and care are at the heart of everything we do.
- Work with the finest, freshest ingredients to ensure the highest quality meals for our children.
- Immerse yourself in a vibrant atmosphere where every day brings new opportunities for creativity and joy.
You
- Passion for creating delicious, nutritious meals suitable for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.
- Experience in meal planning, preparation, and kitchen management, including development of a rotating menu.
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and allergies.
- Availability from Monday to Friday.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills – you enjoy interacting with our team, families & children.
- Adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Valid WWCC
- Food Handling certificate.
- Food Safety Supervisor certificate preferred.
- First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma certificate (or willing to obtain).

If you are successfully appointed to this role, you will be invited to attend a Mayfield Early Education Welcome Induction at our Hawthorn Support Office prior to your commencement. If you're based outside of Victoria, a virtual invitation will be sent for you to join online.
