- Baseline- mandatory
- Build and maintain a knowledge base on in relation to the financial viability of each ECEC type, including knowledge of business models, cost structures, market segments and demand and unique financial risks.
- Identify emerging financial viability risks and issues across care types and develop innovative and responsive policy solutions.
- Maintain relationships with ECEC stakeholders, including peak bodies, providers, state and territory regulatory authorities and federal government agencies.
- Qualifications relevant to the role, including qualifications in business, commerce, or accounting.
- Relevant experience to the role, including professional experience in business or financial analysis, risk management, and public policy.
- The ability to work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues in a team environment.

About the Role
The Market Policy team is responsible for a broad range of work including market strategy, monitoring, research, engagement, and policy advice in relation to the operation of early childhood education and care (ECEC) markets.
As part of the Market Policy team, you will be expected to manage the financial viability (systematic financial risk) function within the team, including but not limited to the following duties:

The successful candidate will be offered an APS6 hourly rate contract, notionally through to December 2023, with view to extend. This position will be based in the ACT.
As this role is with the Federal Government, only Australian citizens that hold a baseline clearance or a willingness to obtain, will be considered for this vacancy.
