    Position Details

    St Maria Goretti's Catholic School invites suitable applicants to apply for the position of Generalist Classroom Teacher.

    The successful applicant will live out their faith in their daily lives, be positive and bring their own energy and passion to an already dynamic staff.

    This is a temporary full-time position commencing 29 April 2024 and concluding 31 December 2024.

    Selection Criteria

    The successful candidate will:


    • Be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education.

    • Be an organised staff member who shows flexibility and displays a positive outlook.

    • The ability to work collaboratively with other staff.

    • Have an understanding and working knowledge of the Australian Curriculum.

    • Have experience in and knowledge with the Kath Walker learning Approach and fully embrace the philosophy.

    • Be able to demonstrate highly competent classroom management and learning area skills.

    Qualifications Required


    • Relevant 4 year tertiary qualification.

    • Accreditation to Teach RE or be prepared to work towards accreditation.

    • Active membership of the Catholic Church.

    Applicants must submit a curriculum vitae, addressed to the Principal Mr Darren McDonald, including the names and contact numbers of three referees, one of whom must be the current employer and a Parish Priest.
