    Business Overview

    IFM's Commercial, Legal and Tax teams support the wider business and our investors by providing support relating to IFM's products and services, and the markets in which we operate.

    Specialist areas of expertise include structuring and executing infrastructure, debt and private equity transactions, structuring IFM's financial products and services, ensuring IFM complies with its duties to investors, negotiating contracts, managing IFM's corporate budget, establishing funds, negotiating investment management agreements and miscellaneous corporate legal matters, and providing strategic market commentary and analysis, as well as IFM Board and corporate secretarial activities.

    The Role

    The Finance and Planning Analyst will join an established team and will be responsible for producing high quality financial & strategic analysis that will assist senior managers improve the financial performance of the Group. This role will be responsible for the preparation and continued development of business reporting within the Group, including Budgeting, financial forecasting, Business Plan and corporate financial modelling.

    Some of your responsibilities will include:
    • Day to day responsibility for the budget versus actual variance analysis.
    • Preparation and delivery of the IFM Corporate Financial Budget and forecasts.
    • Preparation of Monthly Performance Report for senior management.
    • Assisting with the preparation of financial assessments on new products for the Investment Solutions Committee.
    • Working as a finance business partner with teams across the organisation.
    • Working with a Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reporting.
    • Supporting to the Corporate Accounting team.
    Your Background and Experience
    • Good foundation of experience (typically 2+ years) in accounting, particularly management accounting, business planning and budgeting.
    • Proven experience performing data analysis tasks, liaising with internal clients and preparing reports for management.
    • Must have tertiary qualification in commerce, economics, finance or related field and either has or working towards CA/CPA qualifications.
    • Detailed market knowledge and a keen interest in the asset management industry.
    • Client relationship management, be able to build relationships across the business and collaborate with others towards a common goal.
    • Business acumen, financial metrics and key performance drivers.
    • Analytical mindset and a natural problem solver with excellent numerical skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
