    We're looking for an Australia based FIFO Project Control Technician . Responsible for ensuring all electrical control equipment and systems, including but not limited to plant automation, SCADA, electrical protection, and communication systems in major project sites are installed, maintained, and performing as per site requirements.

    Purpose:

    Positions holders are typically field based focusing on the delivery of planned maintenance programs to ensure reliable and safe asset operation.

    Activities include:

  • Coordinating and undertaking a range of maintenance activities within defined operating procedures.
  • Conducting safety inspections and complying with Aggreko's safety regulation.
  • Providing first level technical advice to customers.
  • May resolve/troubleshoot implementation problems.
  • Accountability Level:

    Entry level professionals or highly experienced operations/technical/support roles. Typically completed higher education/qualification or requires expert technical operational knowledge of procedures & tools obtained through extensive work experience.

    Skilled application.

    Well experienced and can take the lead.

    Broad range of work activities. First point of escalation for non-routine situations. Significant personal autonomy and can confidently guide the work of others. Holds appropriate letter of electrical authorisation. Works across both mechanical and electrical equipment aspects.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to major mechanical component failure escalations.
  • Carry out major component changes and field repairs.
  • Carry out advanced troubleshooting of engines and electrical LV or HV systems.
  • Implementation of field campaigns as required.
  • Provide hands on mechanical and electrical support.
  • Ensure the completion of major repairs are on time, to standard and within agreed budgets for both specific repairs and overall department budgets.
  • Advanced Commissioning of multi-MW projects or complex applications outside of the standard / norm.
  • HV / EHV Commissioning.
  • Typical Experience:

  • Specialised Diploma / Vocational Training.
  • Electrician's license (A Grade) ideal.
