    The role

    The Activity Lead's primary purpose is the strategic management, commissioning, and coordination of WA Primary Health Alliance's Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence Pilot Project (FDSV Pilot) response, and related activities. Responsible for the planning, commissioning, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure considered delivery and monitoring of the FDSV Pilot response, and related activities across WAPHA's catchment. The position is responsible for the stewardship and execution of WAPHA's obligations associated with the FDSV Pilot response, and related activities.

    This role will be offered on a full-time, Maximum Term contract for 12 months and offers the flexibility to work from home and office.

    Key role responsibilities include but not limited to:

    • Lead the planning, commissioning, implementation, and coordination of activities with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the considered delivery and monitoring of the FDSV Pilot response, consistent with relevant funding guidance.
    • Review and leverage current related FDSV Pilot activities with internal stakeholders in the context of the relevant Health Priority Strategy, and current commissioned services, regional integration and primary care innovation and development activities.
    • Identify gaps and opportunities to leverage/integrate activities, create a better experience for patients and clinicians, encourage better use of health resources, and eliminate service duplication.
    • At a systems level work with program governance bodies, peak bodies, service providers and lived experience representatives to design, implement and evaluate WAPHA's FDSV Pilot response.
    • Responsible for the successful delivery of activity outcomes:
    • Lead the planning, design, development, and coordination of activities, including defining outcome and success measures.
    • Ensures proposed activities and Activity Work Plans are approved and undertaken in accordance with WAPHA's governance committees and requirements, including approval by the relevant Health Priority Strategic Alignment and Finance and Business Advisory Groups.
    • Identify stakeholders and gather information to inform activities.
    • Oversee and monitor activity implementation.
    • Provide expertise to inform planning, practice improvement, system integration and commissioning of related activities.
    • Provide guidance and work with the relevant project manager and internal stakeholders to deliver activity outcomes.

    About you

    To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following selection criteria:

    Essential experience and education:

    • Tertiary qualification health or human services or equivalent level of expertise.
    • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal.
    • Ability to work effectively at all levels in an organisation.
    • Ability to lead / influence cross portfolio teams to deliver activity outcomes.
    • Established relationships and networks with relevant stakeholders i.e., Department of Health, Area Health Services, service providers relevant to the role, and ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
    • Strategic thinking with demonstrated comprehensive knowledge and understanding of health service delivery within the Western Australian health and social context.

    Preferred knowledge and skills:

    • Problem solving and root cause identification skills.
    • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet objectives within appropriate timeframes.
    • High level of computer literacy included proficiency in Microsoft Office.
