    The Opportunity:

    Our Projects and Energy Transition team is seeking a projects and energy transition senior associate to join our team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will be provided with the opportunity to pivot into the energy space and work across renewable and energy transition projects globally in addition to market leading infrastructure, construction and transport projects.

    Ashurst's Projects and Energy Transition team ensures the successful delivery of projects by providing timely, innovative and commercially astute legal solutions across the transport, infrastructure, energy and resources and construction sectors. Our team regularly advises the government and the private sector on their most complex transactions across multiple jurisdictions and sectors.     Desired Skills and Experience:

    The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • 7+ years' post admission experience (1-3 as a senior associate), ideally gained within private practice or in-house and experience/interest across energy, infrastructure, construction and transport projects;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Superior drafting ability;
  • Strong attention to detail with well-developed analytical skills;
  • Ability to be team-focused and also work independently; and
  • A proactive, positive and energetic approach with a commitment to providing excellent service and, a desire to interact with the market and build client relationships.
