    The Role

    As an APS 5 Project Scheduler in the Project Management Function (PMF) team in GWEO Group, we will support your career goals whilst working within a diverse team. Our schedules support the acquisition and sustainment of all guided weapons and explosive ordnance for Defence. This is a fast paced and dynamic environment requiring much stakeholder engagement and attention to detail. Schedule work within PMF is cyclic enabling the candidate to plan for peaks and troughs in their workload.

    These activities include:

  • Communicate and implement best practices across the program with regards to scheduling and project controls;
  • Review projects for alignment to best practices and develop suggestions for remediation with stakeholders; and
  • Coordinate the reporting of schedules in the corporate system using Open Plan Professional.

    The Guided Weapons Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Program Management Functions Team (PMF) are supporting the execution of GWEO Group's delivery activities through the functional services of project controls, performance reporting, program professionalisation and improvement. The PMF engages closely with both Delivery Division and Capability Development Division to ensure a consistent and coordinated approach of functional services across the whole GWEO Group. In addition, we assure alignment of business activities policies and procedures.

  • Our Ideal Candidate
    The Project Management Function (PMF) is seeking an aspiring or junior Project Scheduler to join our growing team. Our ideal candidate will be able to exercise both initiative and judgement in the interpretation of policy and in the application of practices and procedures. Ideally, they can:
  • Demonstrate knowledge in project reporting using a range of measurement techniques.
  • Assist in the coordination of project planning activities including scheduling.
  • Work collaboratively with all stakeholders, operate as an effective team member and provide constructive feedback.
  • Provide excellent written and oral communication skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
