    About the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations

    The Role
    Reporting to the Director, Identity Access Management (IAM) – IAM is responsible for building and maintaining the corporate systems that manage user access to the network, systems, and services.

    We are looking for an energetic and motivated leader with a technical background, who will lead a small software development team that has a mixture of both APS staff and contractors.

    You will work with high performing individuals in a team that is trusted by leadership to deliver a modern IAM system based on the latest cloud technology.

    Duties and Responsibilities
    Responsibilities of the Executive Level 1 may include:

    • Provide assistance to the director, and be able to be the representative for the director when they are not available.
    • Supervisory management of staff and leadership of technical subject matter experts.
    • Assist in managing delivery of the IAM system.
    • Assist with effort estimate, costings and tracking of work deliverables.
    • Manage competing priorities and ensure delivery of quality work within required timeframes.
    • Manage and delegate activities of the team.
    • Representing the team in various meetings and forums.

    Qualifications and Education

    • Desirable to have, or working towards, a Diploma or higher in an ICT field.
    • Desirable to have a good understanding of ICT/IAM concepts.
    • Desirable to have completed post graduate training that illustrates self-improvement.

    Eligibility

    Citizenship - to be eligible for employment with the Department, you must be an Australian Citizen or, in limited circumstances, in the process of obtaining it.

    Security Clearance - our successful candidate is required to hold, or have the ability to obtain, and maintain a Baseline security clearance.
