- Calibrations and introduction of new methods with a component of R&D
- Perform chemical analysis using laboratory instrumentation such as ICP MS and ICP OES
- Ensure all employees are inducted and trained within areas of responsibility.
- Trouble shooting to solve production/instrument issues.
- Continuous improvement of productivity and efficiency of laboratory operations.
- Improve and maximise efficiency of new and ongoing procedures in the laboratory to increase profit and satisfaction for the company as well as the customer.
- BSc (chemistry) or equivalent plus a minimum of 2 years experience in laboratory operations
- ICP OES experience; ability to learn ICP MS
- Strong Understanding of sample preparation procedures for analyses performed in the area of responsibility
- Sound Understanding of general laboratory techniques
- Familiarity with CCLAS EL LIMS
