    The Role:
    We are seeking Consultant Anaesthetists to join an enthusiastic team of medical professionals in a state-of-the-art hospital.

    • Offers excellent schools, shopping and cultural precincts, sporting facilities and various tertiary facilities.
    • A population over 100,000, located only 150 km's from Melbourne.
    • 1 hour 25 minutes from Tullamarine (Melbourne) airport.
    • The local Airport is about to be expanded and currently runs daily return flights direct to Sydney.
    • 700 Beds

    TOTAL Salary package up to $500,000

    The Anaesthesia and Pain Service - are seeking to appoint suitably experienced Consultant Anaesthetists who will enjoy a rewarding career through their contribution to a large regional tertiary referral hospital. It has (11) operating theatres catering for all major types of adult and paediatric surgery within the region. Candidates must have extensive knowledge and demonstrated clinical ability commensurate with that expected of a specialist anaesthetist and proven ability to develop and maintain effective service interactions required in the operation of a busy anaesthetic service.

    Specialist Anaesthetists provide anaesthesia and related services to all interventional disciplines except Cardiac Surgery, Neurosurgery and Transplant Surgery.

    As this is an accredited training site, the position's responsibilities include teaching of anaesthetic trainees as well as other junior medical staff, medical students and nursing staff.

    This is a 700-bed teaching hospital offering a suite of medical services, catering for a population of more than 240,000. The hospital provides services in the areas of aged care, cancer care, elective surgery, maternity, rehabilitation, and mental health.

    It treats more than 45,000 inpatients, triages more than 65,000 emergency attendees and in addition, more than 15,000 operations are performed in theatres.
