- Prepare the submission of Local Regulatory Reporting requirements (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and additional reporting requests as required)
- Create process improvement initiatives around Regulatory Reporting and Financial Reporting functions
- Provide technical expertise in interpreting and understanding the reporting requirements and reviewing and challenge the data provided and continuously improve processes to ensure the integrity of data
- Evaluate an extensive body of rules and apply them effectively in a complex business environment particularly in relation to balance sheet and statistical reporting
- Review and enhance the risk and controls framework across Finance, providing value-adding advice, and assisting with embedding a robust operational risk and compliance framework
- Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure successful and seamless completion of audit
- Strong team player
- Knowledge of all Regulatory requirements pertaining to the Financial Services industry
- Understanding of the generally accepted accounting principles under IFRS and application of APRA Requirements
- CPA or CA qualification (or progress towards qualification)
- Advanced Microsoft excel skills
- Proactive, inquiring and challenging mindset with a view to improve self, process and ultimately the way finance is viewed by the business
- Knowledge of SQL and/or Tableau is advantageous
- Exceptional verbal, written, communication skills with an analytical mindset

The role involves 2 core elements; (1) assisting in the review and submission of regulatory and financial reporting requirements of ING Bank Australia Limited (IBAL) and ING N.V Sydney Branch and (2) supporting the implementation of any changes and upcoming regulatory developments by assessing the impact of these changes have on existing reports and/or working with stakeholder teams on new requirements.
