    The Principal, Richard Thompson, commenced his careerwith the Victorian Employers' Federation (now VECCI) from 1989 to 1994 as Senior Industrial Relations Advisor responsible for Local Government, Public Utilities, Health, Community Services and Education industry sectors.

    After completinghis law degree he workedat Telstra Applied Technologies as Corporate& Commercial Lawyerin the Major Procurement and Infrastructure Division.

    He joined Phillips Fox (now DLA Piper) and then Minter Ellisonasa lawyerbefore being admitted to the Victorian Bar in 1999.

    After his time as a barrister he joined Lander & Rogers as Senior Associate before being made a partner andthen Managing Partner(Vic.) at Norton White, a specialist shipping and aviationfirm.

    Richard was Head of Employment& Workplace Relations (Corporate & Commercial)at Wisewould Mahony before starting Archer Thompson.

    He has a Graduate Diploma Labour Law (University of Melbourne), Graduate Diploma Legal Practice (College of Law, Sydney), LLB (Bond University), International Trade Law (Leiden University, The Netherlands).
