    About the Role

    The Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) position is an engineering role focused on enhancing and maintaining the reliability and operability of our critical services. We are currently searching for an experienced and dedicated engineer to implement site reliability engineering principles and practices. In this role, you will work with cloud-native systems primarily built on .NET running on Azure, with exposure to Terraform and Azure DevOps. You will be responsible for devising engineering solutions to operational issues, requiring a hands-on and technical approach. As a senior member, you will also serve as an advocate for SRE, collaborating closely with service stakeholders to offer advice and guidance, as well as providing training and mentorship to engineers across SRE and delivery teams. This role presents a significant opportunity to impact both the organization and its customers positively.

    What you'll be doing

    • Resolving and reporting of operational incidents
    • Conducting blameless post-mortems
    • Operational support tasks
    • Participating as part of an On-call roster
    • Enhancing system monitoring and observability
    • Elimination of toil
    • Technical leadership
    • Collaborating with service stakeholders to define SLIs, SLOs, SLAs and error budget policies
    • Advocating SRE principles and practices
    • Mentoring and training
    • System design consultation
    • Enhancing CI/CD pipelines to ensure safer deployments
    • Maintaining a clean infrastructure and tooling environment with no resource waste

    About You

    • Experience in a cloud engineering role
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
    • Strong understanding and experience in agile delivery methodologies and toolsets
    • A continuous improvement mindset
    • Strong understanding of SRE principles and practices
    • Strong release engineering skills
    • Good coaching skills and a strong interest in coaching
    • Some or all of the following technical skills: Azure, C#, Powershell, Docker, Kubernets, Apache Spark, Azure AD, AD, Networking, Power BI, Terraform, Azure DevOps
    • Strong engineering skills and scripted software development skills
    • Exposure to ITIL or ITSM
