    About the Opportunity

    Assist the Statutory Accounting team in maintaining and continuously improving theaccuracy and efficiency of the general ledger, fixed asset registers and AASB16 leasing accounts.

    Ensuring the accurate and timely recordingof assets, provision of accounting and tax asset information and fixed assetreporting. In conjunction with technical AASB 16 application, internal reporting,ledger bookings, reconciliations, periodic tasks and external reporting ensuringtimely and accurate outputs.

  • Provide General Ledger reconciliations for audit purposes. Preparing and coordinating monthly statistical reporting of the ARTC General Ledger reconciliations
  • Produce the ARTC Bank Reconciliation; processing and verifying financial transactions, including bank, ARTC and external liaison where required
  • Undertake General Ledger (GL) bank receipting, distributing non-GL to other teams
  • Prepare quarterly, annual and ad-hoc ABS reports
  • Calculate and process monthly journals, including: GRNIs, prepayments, depreciation, leasing and other bookings
  • Reconciliation and maintenance of ARTC's fixed asset registers, including capitalisations, cost adjustments, disposals and fair value adjustments in all relevant asset books
  • About You

    To ensure success in this position, applicants will be able to demonstrate:

  • Tertiary qualifications in an accounting or equivalent experience
  • Ability to contribute to the organisation as part of a team
  • Experience in the reconciliation of outstanding accounts, fixed assets, month end accounting and use of spreadsheets in a similar role or a role that encompasses these areas within a commercial organisation
  • Strong attention to work and analytical review
  • Competent written and verbal communication skills; good interpersonal and negotiating skills
  • Experience in operating accounting packages
