    Job Description:

    Passion for pets? Have a furry friend who you'd like to spend every day when you're in the office? Mars Pet Nutrition Australiais seeking an experience Market Supply Planner.

    You will oversee co-packing production planning and import supply planning, where you will plan, control and optimise product availability to meet our customers' needs.

    You will enable us to deliver our strategy by enabling volume growth and service delivery at optimal costs and cash, whilst leveraging strong stakeholder relationships across both Supply and Demand functions and with external Supplier Stakeholders.

    Please Note: This is a 12-month fixed term contract, for a maternity

    What are we looking for?

    • Bachelors degree in commerce, supply chain, systems, science or other related disciplines is preferred.
    • Solid experience in a Supply Chain role, including experience in supply planning, inventory management or similar position
    • Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and root cause analysis
    • Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office Suite and strong experience in Production Planning systems
    • Strong interpersonal skills with experience building strong cross-functional stakeholder relationships
    • FMCG experience is preferred, but not essential

    What will be your key responsibilities?

    • You'll be responsible for the development, planning, execution, control and monitoring of supply chain activities.
    • You'll plan and control production schedules and coordinate with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials
    • You'll identify processes to find opportunities and make recommendations to optimise inventory levels, increase supply chain flexibility, preventative measures to reduce scrap/understock
    • Leverage both Demand and Supply perspectives to resolve any imbalances between demand and supply, balancing conflicts within agreed rules or escalating when needed
    • Provide key support in the communication and information flow between Mars Pet Nutrition Australia and the Source Units/Suppliers
    • Reconcile supply and manufacturing capacity with the market's demand to deliver the best Customer Service at optimal cost and stock holdings. Use technical understanding to foresee potential risks and mitigate them effectively.
