    About the Role

    The Continuous Improvement & Project Engineer is responsible for identifying and leading manufacturing excellence initiatives, asset performance improvement initiatives, life cycle asset management plans, developing engineering solutions and implementing plant upgrades.

    From site establishment, operational integration, and plant commissioning, to shaping and influencing the future performance capability of the business, this is an opportunity not to be missed. This role will be an integral part of the National Engineering Team, Toowoomba Leadership Team, and Manufacturing Excellence strategy.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Together with Vinidex Manufacturing Leadership, ensure a Safety-First culture and support Vinidex & Global Safety standards deployment.
    • Support in delivering Process Improvement & Engineering projects across the Vinidex Toowoomba sites that deliver strategic growth, improved process, safety, sustainability, quality, and cost.
    • Together with Operational leaders, ensure compliance with all legal, statutory, corporate, and ethical obligations to protect the Company reputation, brand and minimise risk to employees, stakeholders and the wider community.
    • Drive key asset management initiatives aligned to the Vinidex business KPI's, ensuring optimum return for capital invested.
    • Problem solving, root cause analysis, asset management and improved plant reliability.
    • Utilise best practice methods and provide technical leadership for plant improvement initiatives.
    • Develop a culture of collaboration between key manufacturing, engineering, and project management resources, align on key projects, resource requirements and knowledge sharing.

    About You

    • Recognised Degree Qualifications in Engineering (mechanical or similar).
    • Recognised competency and practical experience in implementing Lean principles and CI methodologies.
    • At least 3 years' experience in reliability/asset/project management.
    • Understands best in class Engineering asset management processes, concepts and tools and proven experience in developing robust business cases to support future upgrades.
    • Knowledge of design and visualisations software (such as AutoCad).
    • Proficient in MS Office & MS Project packages.
    • Able to manage projects from ideation to installation, commissioning, and handover.
    • Perform plant condition evaluation, root cause analysis, and predictive analysis for asset management.
    • Sound life cycle asset management plans.
    • Profound knowledge in product, engineering science and technology transfer.
    • Collaborative, change leader, transformative, hands-on, and visible leadership with strong sense of ownership.
