    The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is a free community-based tertiary mental health service provided through the WCHN across South Australia, providing care to those with severe and/or complex mental health needs. CAMHS provides services to: infants / children / young people up to in some areas) for community, statewide and hospital-based services for perinatal women (Helen Mayo House).

    About Helen Mayo House

    Helen Mayo House provides inpatient services for parents who have significant mental health problems in the postnatal period.

    Women/carers and their infant/s aged 12 months and under can be admitted to Helen Mayo House if they are the parent with primary responsibility for the infant and have a mental illness. Mental health problems, such as severe depression, anxiety or psychotic illnesses are considered to be significant if they impact on the parent's ability to function in everyday life and care for their child.

    The Opportunity

    We currently have exciting opportunities for suitably qualified and registered RN1 & RN2 Mental Health Nurse's to join the Perinatal Infant Mental Health Service in a Part time , short term contract (until 8 August 2025).

    As the Registered Nurse (RN1) - You will provide nursing and/or midwifery services in health service settings whilst developing from a novice practitioner to a proficient level of professional practice. You will consolidate knowledge and skills and develop in capability through continuous professional development and experience. You will be accountable for your own standards of nursing/midwifery care and for activities delegated to others.

    As the Clinical Nurse (RN2) - You will provide nursing and/or midwifery services in a variety of health service settings which has been consolidated by your experience and/or further study, and you will develop from a competent to proficient practitioners. You will be accountable for your own practice standards as well as the activities delegated to others and the guidance and development of less experienced staff. The Clinical Mental Health Nurse role at this level is predominantly clinical in nature; however you will be assigned appropriate portfolios.

    About You
