    Government & Defence provides specialised logistics expertise, including relocation services. We work with clients at all levels of government to deliver an extremely diverse range of logistics solutions - from the distribution of healthcare products, managing the relocation of their employees, delivering fleets of government vehicles, through to helicopter rescue services.

    Reporting into the Senior Manager HSSEQ the Security and Compliance advisor will play a key role in our HSSEQ and Risk Compliance function of our Government and Defence Division. Based in Melbourne but will consider a Canberra location also.

    The Security & Compliance Adviser will be diligent and knowledgeable in the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) Certification and the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).This role will be operationalising G&D's internal security policies and procedures, and ensuring their work is conducted in line with PSP under respective requirements and Toll Group Standards.

    You must be an Australian Citizen and eligible for an Australian Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Defence Security Clearance to a minimum of Negative Vet 1 (NV1).

    Responsibilities will include:

    • Supporting the Chief Security Officer (under the direction of the Senior Manager HSSEQ & Risk) to undertake the day-to-day management of TRL's DISP Certification.
    • Implementing compliance with contemporary Australian Government and Defence security legislation and policies, including achieving and maintaining the standards required by the DSPF, the PSPF, and Toll Group Security Management System.
    • Supporting the security vetting process for G&D staff and contractors, including initiation of security clearances, and mandatory training and reporting requirements for security cleared staff.
    • Create, update and review Security policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with legislation, best practice, and the company's risk profile.
    • In accordance with Toll Group Security Practices and Procedures, develop and implement security processes that allow core business to be conducted in line with best practice security arrangements that are compliant with the DSPF and PSPF.
    • Conduct scheduled assurance activities as required by the respective security standards and certifications.

    To be successful in this role, you will need:

    • Australian Citizenship
    • Relevant State Security Licences or be able to obtain (required).
    • DS&VS Security Officer Course (required).
    • 2-3 years+ in a Security Officer role with Defence/Government or Defence Industry (required).
    • Government security, compliance and risk management skills and knowledge.
