    About the Role:

    As a Sous Chef at this regional hotel, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the high culinary standards for which this fantastic venue is known for. Working closely with the Head Chef, you will have the opportunity to contribute your expertise and creativity to our diverse menu offerings. Be paid for every hour worked and penalty rates Manage the busy kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef and work collaboratively to achieve the goals of the Hotel.

    Your Skills and Experience:

    • Assisting the Head Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and quality in food preparation and service
    • Collaborating with the team to develop innovative and seasonal menus that showcase local and regional ingredients
    • Training and mentoring kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
    • Managing inventory, ensuring proper stock levels, and coordinating with suppliers for timely deliveries
    • Maintaining strict hygiene and safety standards, adhering to relevant regulations and guidelines

    Your Benefits and Rewards:

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, preferably within a regional location
    • Commercial Cookery Certificate III or equivalent qualification
    • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
    • Extensive knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and food safety practices
    • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and evenings
