    Macquarie Geotech is continuing to grow its project support services and is looking for a driven project manager with a background in construction projects.

    Reporting to the Laboratory Operations Manager and working in conjunction with the relevant Annex laboratories, your primary focus will be to support the Project laboratory teams across Australia.

    Duties and responsibilities but not limited to:

    • Project management - planning, resourcing and controlling projects from end to end, ensuring that work is completed on time and within budget
    • Supervise teams of Technicians across the various project annex facilities.
    • Have a strong understanding of AS1289, AS1141 and AS1012 test methods
    • Coordination of day-to-day operational requirements of the annex laboratories including Scheduling and resourcing of staff across the different laboratory annex facilities.
    • Liaison with internal staff and clients on testing schedules, methods, procedures and results.
    • Ability to review technical documentation and specifications and communicate requirements to the wider team.
    • Preparation of test reports and generating invoices.
    • Proactively manage client relations and expectations.
    • Supporting and providing technical advice to the wider team.
    • Support the Operations Manager and internal Senior Project Managers on large complex projects where relevant.
    • Ensure business compliance with QMS, IEC/ISO 17025, and associated documentation.
    • Demonstrate commitment to meeting the undertakings of MacGeo WHS policies and procedures.

    Requirements:

    • Diploma in Laboratory techniques or similar tertiary qualification.
    • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within the Construction / CMT Industry.
    • Working knowledge of IEC/ISO 17025, ISO 9001, other ISO standards and Quality Management Systems is essential.
    • Understand health and safety in the laboratory environment, with a good attention to detail.
    • Able to communicate effectively and explain technical information to staff and clients at all levels.
    • Competence in IT, including LIMS, spreadsheets, and databases.
    • Understanding of quality KPI's, measures and ability to effect change to improve.
    • Ability to meet deadlines.
    • Auditing experience.
    • Demonstrated problem solving skills.
    • Experience of working in CMT Laboratories is desirable.
