About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to lead a small team to deliver research and data driven insights for Screen Australia and the Industry. The Manager, Research Projects will work to extract and manipulate complex data sets from multiple sources with a sharp focus on audience consumption and demand, production levels, diversity and inclusion and employment trends.

About you:

You will have 4+ years' experience as a research manager ideally within media or similar industry.
Demonstrated high level analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience working with various internal databases, analysing raw data, creating reports in addition to presenting and sharing results to various stakeholders.
Very strong PowerPoint and Excel skills and experience working with visualisation and dashboard tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Screen Australia's Indigenous Department identifies and nurtures talented Indigenous Australians to ensure their bold, distinctive voices are heard through engaging stories that they craft. It is also proactive in shaping and influencing the policy environment, where it may impact Indigenous Australians in the screen industry.

ENCOURAGE INNOVATION

Online is another priority, with funding support given to facilitate innovation and audience-engaging screen content primarily for viewing on the web and via social media channels.

HELP STORIES FIND THEIR AUDIENCE

Once films, docos, TV series or online videos have been created, there's also support on the marketing and promotion side, through initiatives that focus on connecting audiences with Australian content.
