    Situated in the Eastern Goldfields region, our Agnew mine site is 23 kilometres west of Leinster, 375 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie and nearly 1,000 kilometres north-east of Perth. Acquired in 2001, Agnew Gold Mine produces over 250,000 ounces of gold per annum & is leading the way in the transition to renewable power for off-grid mining operations. The Agnew Hybrid Renewable Project is Australia's largest hybrid renewable energy microgrid and the first to utilise wind generation at a mine site.

    Reporting to the Exploration Superintendent, you will be responsible for managing a team of project and exploration geologists charged with the responsibility of new discovery.

    This role is offered on 8 days on 6 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth.

    About the role:

    Coordinate the activities of the exploration team and contractors to meet planned exploration programs;

    Manage and monitor exploration schedules and forecasts and track against budget;

    Contribute to the achievement of planned drilling programs and safety targets by assisting in the provision of accurate and predictive geological models and information within required timeframes;

    Contribute to the definition; implementation and monitoring of short, medium and long-term exploration programs to extend the Life of Mine (LOM) and increase reserves and resources;

    Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of the adherence to systems to ensure application of all critical geology mapping, reporting and data acquisition as well as storage and retrieval systems;

    Ensure the integrity of geological data collection and reporting within agreed timeframes and consistently aim to exceed reporting standards with completed geological interpretation and models;

    Ensure full compliance of exploration activities with site policies and procedures;

    Promote and maintain a high standard of safety focused exploration;

    Ensure the ongoing growth and development of the team by providing leadership, mentoring and feedback on overall performance and operational responsibilities within the team to ensure a competent, professional and effective team.

    About you:

    Bachelor of Science Geology

    Extensive mining industry experience - preferably gold - with exposure to mine geology, resource and grade control estimation and exploration

    High level understanding of drilling techniques management and QAQC processes

    Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and 3D geological modelling software (Leapfrog)
