    Executive Officer / Chief Executive Officer – Unique Opportunity

    Your opportunity

    Working Heritage currently manages a unique portfolio of 16 Crown Land heritage sites valued at $133m across Victoria which have been re-purposed for commercial and community use.

    The Former Royal Mint Building was the first property assigned to our custodianship in 1998, and the portfolio has since expanded to include some iconic buildings in Melbourne and across regional Victoria.

    We are looking for our next Executive Officer to provide strategic leadership to a specialised team and to support the Committee of Management in planning for positive growth.

    Based on your capabilities and experience, we are open to this role being at the CEO level or supporting you in your progression to become a CEO.


    Your primary focus will be to:
    Enable WH to operate strategically, driving portfolio growth and diversifying revenue streams.
    Innovate through strategic partnerships, identifying and assessing commercial business development opportunities, supporting our tenants, and leading the WH team.
    Manage governance requirements and organisational risks through working with sub-committees and ensuring suitable policies and procedures are in place.
    Manage stakeholder relations including Government engagement and communications.
    Ensure suitable financial planning, budgeting, governance, advice, and compliance are achieved.
    Oversee all functions including design and construction management, property management, business partnerships, finance and payroll and marketing and communications.
    To be considered for the opportunity you will bring:
    Previous experience in a Chief Executive Officer, Executive Officer, General Manager or equivalent position.
    Extensive experience in heritage property reactivation, property development and/or management, construction, or a related field.
    Extensive commercial, governance, stakeholder engagement, and risk management experience.
    Strong strategic and critical thinking, change management, communication, and people leadership experience.
    Experience working with Committees of Management and Government organisations.
    Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
    Australian Work Rights.
    A valid driver's licence.
