    The Senior Clinician – Quality and Governance has a critical role in providing effective, contemporary and evidence-based clinical advice about positive behaviour support and restrictive practices, including assisting the Director -PBSRPto ensure the quality, integrity and responsiveness of clinical aspects of the unit in the context of continuous improvement and clinical best practice


    • Lead the operation and oversight of the PBSRP Practice Guidelines

    • Support the Director PBSRP in undertaking reviews of clinical documentation, including Positive Behaviour Support Plans.

    • Monitor contemporary research, reports and other findings of RP leaders to inform best practice within the clinical operations of the PBSRP unit.

    • Support the Manager - Positive Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practices, and the Director - Positive Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practices to ensure the high quality practice standards of the unit, including the preparation of reports and presentations including high level analysis of emerging needs, trends and service demand.

    • Undertake and prepare assessments, submissions, reports, briefs and other documentation on matters, including the development of Positive Behaviour Support Plans.

    • Build effective relationships with the behaviour support sector through the provision of contemporary, transparent and evidence-based clinical advice about the identification and authorisation of restrictive practices in the context of the Disability Services Act 2006

    • Ensure, and oversee the implementation and currency of all relevant legislative requirements, departmental policies and guidelines.
