    Our Opportunity

    Fortescue are seeking experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanics to carry out the safe execution of scheduled maintenance and repair to a range of large-scale mining equipment supporting Fortescue's mining operations. The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out repairs and inspections on mining fleet with particular focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

    This is a centralised advertisement for positions across all operational sites. In turn you may receive notification that your application has been forwarded for review to a similar role.     Work Location: Across all Fortescue Pilbara Operations

    Roster: 7D7N7R OR 7D7N14R – FIFO ex Perth, Busselton, Broome, Karratha, Port Headland, Fitzroy Crossing and Kununurra

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintenance of large scale, heavy mobile mining equipment in accordance with the manufacture's (OEM) specifications and Fortescue's procedures
    • Ensure accurate, efficient, and effective information is entered into SAP, including notifications, work orders and time confirmations
    • Identify when maintenance consumables and supplies are to be ordered to ensure the continuous operation of the fleet
    • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to help improve fleet performance
    • Attend and actively participate in toolbox & safety meetings to ensure safe work compliance and identify deficiencies

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
    • Previous experience working on large scale Mobile Mining Equipment, ideally in a mining environment
    • High level of safety awareness and orientation
    • Experience with OEM diagnostic tooling
    • Experience using Microsoft programs and computer based maintenance systems (SAP desirable)
    • Current C Class Drivers Licence
