    Set in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges, Mercy Place Montrose, VIC is brimming with friendly faces, gorgeous natural surroundings and as much support as you need to live life your way.

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    Are you an energetic, innovative carer looking for the next exciting step in your career that enables you to be part of an exciting team responsible for delivering a new model of aged care at our home in Montrose?

    We have part time and casual positions available.

    The Care Companion is responsible for all primary care needs of our residents including ADL care, provision of meals, cleaning and laundry. This role will contribute to a successful and sustainable care culture. Mercy Place Montrose offers small household living - a small number of residents living together in each of our eight room apartments.

    • Permanent Part Time and casual
    • Mercy Place Montrose, VIC Residential Aged Care
    • Providing care and support to our residents
    • Promoting the physical and emotional wellbeing of residents by providing care using a person-centred approach
    • Partnering with residents and their families
    • Undertake care and documentation to the highest standard
    • Pay rates range from $ $ pay rates will be dependent on experience post qualification)

    ABOUT YOU:

    • Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or Individual Support (students seeking placement welcome)
    • Previous experience in Aged Care is desirable
    • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
    • The ability to work effectively within a team environment
    • Previous experience in cooking or in a hospitality environment

    WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

    • Candidates are required to meet the position and qualification requirements.
    • Provide a current Police Record Check and/or NDIS Worker Screen Check (Mercy Health may conduct additional background checks subject to current legislation).
    • Proof of vaccination status consistent with public health orders and with Mercy Health's policy (includes but is not limited to COVID-19 and seasonal influenza vaccination compliance requirement).
