    About the team:

    The Senior Network Administrator role will require you to work within a dynamic environment that is growing fast. The team is based mainly in Melbourne with some team members in Sydney and they are involved in the deployment and running of new technology stacks and maintaining our server infrastructure, networks, cloud connectivity and ensuring we can deliver for our customer's needs. You will be working with the local Linux operations team on our fleet of around 600+ servers and will look at maintaining overall environment health, facilitating complex changes, and getting involved in trouble shooting for the Linux and infrastructure environments.     What you will be doing:

    • Work with other departmental SME to implement best infrastructure solution for new functionality and on-going environments.
    • Determining requirements and configuration for Network infrastructure with external interfaces
    • Act as Network infrastructure SME and primary contact
    • Document and employ consistent build and deployment process to facilitate build process, adding automation were possible.
    • Reviews functional and technical designs to identify areas of risk and/or missing requirements.
    • Acts as tie breaker on design decisions.
    • Installing, configuring, implementing, and maintaining systems
    • Working on large, complex systems that require skill in multiple technical environments.
    • Monitoring usage and tuning systems for optimum performance
    • Identify and automate manual tasks using scripting or application development.
    • Implement Network enhancements that will improve reliability and performance of Network.
    • Maintaining a stable and secure network environment
    • Management of SSL/TLS Certificates associated with a Certificate Authority
    • Out of hours work may be required for changes/upgrades and for being part of an on-call rotation to take escalations from the Level 1 call team.

    What you bring:

    Must have:

    • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience on Network Administration
    • Significant experience with Juniper technologies and F5 load balancers
    • AWS and Azure skills/familiarity, abilities with Terraform also good
    • Strong experience with networking concepts
    • Management of SSL/TLS Certificates. Experience with public key infrastructure (PKI) and experience with certificate life cycle management, such as Venafi
    • IT security conceptual knowledge and hands on experience with remediating vulnerabilities
    • Knowledge of network monitoring like Nagios, AppNeta and tools and technical writing principles and practices
    • Effective analytical, problem solving, installation and maintenance skills
    • Change peer/technical review, Problem investigation, project design, delivery and documentation
    • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
    • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

    A bonus if you have experience in the following areas:

    • Ansible
    • OpenShift/Kubernetes
    • Containers, Docker, Podman
    • Nagios
    • Splunk
    • Working with formal ITSM processes using Jira or SNOW
