Work Health Safety and Training Advisor - Mandurah, Western Australia

Job summary

The Work Health Safety and Training Advisor will report directly to the WHS Coordinator and be responsible for the successful coordination of the following duties and roles:

Actively participate and promote the Doral Safety and Health program through cooperation and consultation with its employees and contractors, Development and delivery of competency based training and assessment to ensure legislative compliance with legal, regulatory and company requirements, Maintenance and further development of training matrix, ensuring competent work teams through coaching and assessment, Provide leadership in the areas of hazard identification, risk management, communication, incident investigation and continuous improvement, Willingness to be hands on and provide a regular and positive safety presence across all areas, consulting with work groups to enhance Doral's safety culture and performance, Consultative development and review of Doral policies and procedures as required, Coordination and compilation of Statutory Health and Hygiene Management plans, monitoring and annual reports, Coordinate and undertake Occupational and Environmental radiation monitoring and reporting as required, Facilitation and coordination of H&S Reps and new safety initiatives to ensure continuous improvement in the areas of safety and health, Management of Myosh Hazard and Incident Reporting data, Active participation in LGIRS regulator inspections, management of outcomes and the maintenance of the SRS online database to maintain compliance.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in WH&S
• Demonstrated understanding & application of relevant legislation
• Proven experience in leading Incident Investigations, preferably ICAM Methodology and Formal Risk Assessments
• Training and Assessment certification
