- 30 June 2025 (with possibility of extension) for the Rockhampton role.
- Use appropriate economic methodologies to undertake economic analyses of contemporary agricultural production and policy issues.
- Provide training to graziers and beef extension officers in the use of economic decision support tools.
- Visit producers to gather property and herd information to evaluate the implications to farm profitability.
- Utilise economic results and findings to prepare case studies, reports, papers, factsheets, and other communication material.
- Present economic findings and other information to farmers.
- Undertake required projects and activities to ensure project is delivered on time.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all stakeholders and other government agencies.
- Applied experience in agriculture and/or a passion to advance the agricultural sector will be highly regarded.
- Good time management and organisational skills to assist in the coordination of multiple recruitment processes concurrently.
- Well-developed Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word skills.
- Ability to use judgement and discretion with confidential information.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Class C drivers' licence.
