    Our Opportunity

    Work Location: Cloudbreak - Fortescue's Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.

    Roster: 8D6R FIFO ex Perth, Broome, Kununurra & Fitzory Crossing

    Fortescue are seeking a dynamic Auto Electrician to join our Resource Definition team based at Cloudbreak. You will be responsible for carrying out all scheduled and unplanned maintenance, inspections and repairs on the Water Well Drilling fleet. You will be proactive in the delivery of preventative maintenance strategies ensuring the successful optimisation of the fleet.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintenance and repairs to the Drill fleet in accordance with OEM specifications and Fortescue procedures
    • Identify when maintenance consumables and supplies are to be ordered to ensure the continuous operation of the fleet
    • Attend and actively participate in toolbox & safety meetings to ensure safe work compliance and identify deficiencies and action plans
    • Maintain & operate vehicles, tools and equipment to company standards
    • Ensure accurate, efficient and effective information is entered into SAP, including notifications, work orders and time confirmations
    • Manual labour tasks whilst working in an outdoor environment
    • Assist with improvement initiatives to contribute positively toward fleet performance and optimisation

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
    • Valid Australian Driver's License, HR Class desirable
    • High level of safety awareness and orientation with the ability to work successfully in a team and autonomously
    • Experience with OEM diagnostic tooling
    • Working knowledge of SAP highly desirable
