    Retail Manager - Chatswood Chase

    Retail Manager Role at Vicinity Centres


    This role is responsible for developing and delivering the centre's retail engagement strategies to increase retailer satisfaction, turnover, customer experience, and net property income.

    About the Role


    We are seeking a Retail Manager to lead our retail team and provide expert knowledge on the ideal retail mix for the centre to maximise monthly active transactions (MAT) and retailer growth. The successful candidate will be the trusted advisor to deliver strategic objectives and achieve the best outcomes for Vicinity business.

    Key Responsibilities


    The Retail Manager will be accountable for:

    • People Leadership: Leading the retail team, completing annual performance cycles, conducting regular 1:1s and development conversations, managing performance issues, and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.
    • Retailer Relationships: Developing and executing retailer engagement strategies, maintaining active communications with retailers, and utilising insights to improve centre performance.
    • Lease Management: Adhering to lease agreements, managing variations, and ensuring centre presentation standards meet expectations.
    • Centre Operations: Achieving material improvements in centre presentation standards, contributing to the delivery of the centre's VSA, and executing shopping centre strategic goals.
    • Reporting: Completing sales analysis and reports, assisting in the delivery of weekly and quarterly reports, and dissecting information as required.

    Requirements


    To be successful in this role, you will need:

    • Experience managing retailer relationships to drive commercial results.
    • Ability to effectively collaborate with individuals and groups, report financial information, and manage budgets.
    • A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable.
    • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, customer service skills, and organisational, compliance, and time management skills.

    Estimated Salary:


    $120,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location.
