    Who we're looking for:

    As a Site Engineer (Mechanical), you will be accountable for managing the quality assurance of activities, the project's procurement requirements and organising subcontractors onsite within the mechanical scope of works. Your initial project will be working under FIFO conditions to a pipeline project in regional Queensland.

    Duties may include;

    • Have a thorough knowledge of the Drawings, Specifications and Quality, OH&S and Environmental requirements for all site related activities.
    • Support the implementation of the project Quality, OH&S and Environmental Management Plans.
    • Assist with monitoring and updating the construction program on a regular basis.
    • Together with the site staff, review and evaluate technical and commercial procurement offers.
    • Together with the purchasing staff, ensure that materials are procured in advance of the requirements of the construction program.
    • Together with the site staff, review and process subcontractor progress payments on a monthly basis and advise administration in accordance with monthly reporting requirements.
    • Together with the engineering and supervisory staff, prepare and submit monthly progress claim for works completed.
    • Together with the Project Engineer and Supervisory staff, monitor and assist in submitting variations, extensions of time and delays to the works.
    • Together with the site Foreman, monitor daily work activities for production and effectiveness of resources and implement improvements with respect to activity costs.
    • Maintain a daily diary outlining details of site meetings, discussions, works performed, and inspections.
    • Assist in daily project Quality System monitoring, ensuring compliance with project ITPs with respect to inspections, checklists, documentation and record keeping.
    • Actively participate in training initiatives and skill development programs.

    The successful candidate will be a self-starter with:

    • Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering- MUST HAVE
    • Capacity to plan your workload and meet required deadlines.
    • Display strong leadership to promote and maintain a collaborative and positive team environment.
    • A commitment to a high work standard and work ethic.
    • Mechanical equipment commissioning experience would be advantageous.
