    Coordinating the planning, implementation and, reporting and resourcing required to ensure the effective and timely delivery of Department projects, priorities, and outcomes.

    What you'll be doing:

    • The position will be responsible for the delivery of Leisure related major and minor projects in the Capital Work Programs.
    • Co-ordinating identified continuous improvement projects to Leisure operations in the implementation phase in accordance with best project management practices.
    • Liaise with other project manages on organisational wide projects and cross functional project teams across council on capital work requirements.
    • Develop and lead the Business Plan strategy to ensure that Leisure delivers best practice with regards to customer experience, safety, and risk management.
    • Business planning with internal teams to identify new projects as opportunities to be innovative and achieve best practice in the delivery of Leisure and recreation services to exceed community expectations.
    • Day-today management of the projects, including liaising with contractors, suppliers, and providers to achieve the best project outcomes for Council.
    • Facilitate and attend relevant meetings with stakeholders relevant to each project.

    The skills and experience you'll bring to the role:

    • Ensuring efficient and effective customer service delivery.
    • Highly developed leadership skills and ability to work with various levels across the organisation to establish productive relationships, strong team cohesion and commitment to achieving a common purpose.
    • Highly developed communication skills that enable complex issues to be articulated in a concise and persuasive manner to achieve desired business outcomes.
    • Demonstrated ability deliver capital projects on time, on budget, to specified standards and to meet strategic objectives.
    • Provide expert advice in relation to the operational requirements and the planning for large scale leisure facilities and the ability to seek and obtain specialist information from an established and extensive professional network where required.
    • Demonstrated ability to administer the financial operations of a major Leisure facility.
    • Experience in leading and facilitating multi-disciplinary project teams and demonstrated knowledge and application of continuous improvement to enhance business performance.

    Required Certifications & Qualifications:

    • Tertiary qualification in a business or project management related discipline or lesser qualifications with substantial experience in the delivery of new and recurrent Leisure related capital works projects.
    • Proven and demonstrated ability to deliver capital projects on time, on budget, to specified standards and to meet strategic objectives.
