    The Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC) are the lead agency in South Australia developing policy and delivering programs to realise the government's vision for South Australia.     Reporting to the Executive Director, Strategic Engagement, the Manager Projects and Engagement will play an integral part in leading the development, coordination, management and evaluation of a range of projects and programs related to services, engagement, productivity and organisational performance that span across the Department of the Premier and Cabinet and Government and government more broadly.

    The role will be expected to drive collaboration and bring together multidisciplinary teams to achieve results, manage critical issues and contribute to the delivery of strategic priorities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop, implement and monitor projects by preparing project briefs; planning, researching information and developing project plans; monitoring; and evaluating and reporting on project outcomes
    • Maintain and develop effective stakeholder management strategies and processes and manage stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to ensure stakeholders are engaged
    • Assist the Executive Director in proactively identifying issues or opportunities for improved project and program delivery
    • Work effectively across the department and government to develop and deliver project outcomes including through effective collaboration and negotiation on a range of issues
    • Prepare well-considered policy papers, submissions, briefs and notes on complex policy issues, including Cabinet Submissions, Estimates Briefings, Parliamentary Briefing Notes and other government documents

    Key Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or a related field
    • A minimum of 3 years' experience in project management, preferably in a client-facing role
    • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project)
    • PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus
    • Extensive experience in applying expert project management knowledge to effectively lead and undertake high-profile projects which have critical importance to the Government
    • Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills including experience in building relationships, negotiating and dealing with a varied range of stakeholders
    • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within scope and within budget

    Job Status:

    Short Term Contract - up to 2 years
