    Description

    As our Security Engineer-Network, you'll support us by designing, planning, implementing, securing and maintaining our corporate and customer firewall infrastructure and it's components and associated infrastructure while in collaboration with other SOC team members, including other Security Analysts, Security Engineers and Operations.

    Let's talk about you

    2+ years' experience working within Cybersecurity and security operations.

    Strong technical FortiGate knowledge

    Collaborates with other teams within the technology division to determine an optimal solution for stakeholders based on mainly known solutions

    Good knowledge and understanding of industry standards

    Understanding of most of the following: Linux/Windows server and application administration and configuration, networking, scripting and automation, large scale distributed computing architecture

    Strong technical skills, with self-motivation to quickly learn new tools and products.

    Demonstrated experience within network security or firewall engineering.

    The ability to maintain technical expertise in all areas of firewall operation, technology, advancements, and new security concepts.

    How will you support our "Why?"

    You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining all aspects of Information Security in the corporate Firewall environment.

    The primary purpose of this role is to perform firewall engineering functions including design, implementation, and optimisation in a large enterprise environment.

    This will see you collaborating with our operational teams to ensure our systems are secure and in line with industry frameworks.


    Your work will focus on supporting existing, valuable customers through support, implementation, business issues, architecture, and the design of technical solutions to address these needs.

    Provide in-depth analysis on existing firewalls and security architecture and make recommendations for system and environment enhancements.

    Analyse, develop, enhance, secure and test complex firewall designs.

    Troubleshoot firewall performance issues. Analyse network traffic and provides capacity planning solutions.

    Take ownership of our Fortigate product offering.
