Leading and facilitating collaborative work with system partners to identify issues of concern and address priorities, and design local solutions to improve the aged care system in regions within Queensland or the Northern Territory.

With a strong focus on the needs of older people and First Nations peoples, understand the needs of stakeholders and issues on the ground, be responsive to cultural requirements and remain open to diverse ways of engaging.

Identify and lead innovative solutions and communicate the implications of decisions and actions on the departments business objectives and stakeholders.

Leading key aged care emergency and pandemic response activities for the QLD NT branch, including mobilising teams, preparation for, and the provision of support relating to emergency events.

Representing the department, including communicating the strategic direction and reform agenda of the department.

Drive, manage and coordinate cross-department collaboration initiatives, activities and relationships that focus on improving access and quality of the aged care system, identity, manage and evaluate risk.

This includes monitoring, analysing and evaluating and project and program objectives and outcomes.
Plan, manage and monitor financial budgets for the section.
