    Role Overview

    We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Mechanical Fitter/Technician to join our maintenance team.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain a wide range of mechanical equipment to ensure continuous and reliable manufacturing operations.
    • Respond to machinery breakdowns and carry out ad-hoc repairs to ensure machinery downtime is minimised.
    • Investigate, escalate and communicate machinery problems and issues with the Maintenance Manager.
    • Participate and assist in the development of the preventative maintenance program.
    • Contribute to HSE policies and procedures by raising safety concerns and safety awareness across Metroll sites and report hazards / near misses and incidents.

    Requirements

    • Australian Trade Qualifications as Mechanical Fitter, Machinist or similar Automotive/Mechanical field.
    • Ideally a minimum 5+ years' trades experience, working in a maintenance or manufacturing environment.
    • Proficient in the use of manual lathes and milling machines.
    • Experience in hydraulic systems and pneumatics will be highly regarded.
    • Experience with automation and controls will also be highly regarded.
    • Current High-Risk Work License: Forklift, EWP, Dogman or Rigging certification (desirable).
