    Job Description & Summary

A career in our Financial Operations practice, within Finance Consulting services, will provide the opportunity to work alongside CEOs, CFOs, controllers and treasurers to optimise the structure of their finance functions and improve their contribution to the business.

We support our clients by addressing the challenges of achieving appropriate standards of control, efficient back office opportunities and support to the business through insight and challenge.

Our team helps clients transform their finance function by executing strategies to reduce functional and operational complexity through streamlined processes, optimise d use of technology, and efficient use of resources to deliver cost effective, high quality services to all stakeholders.

    SOX Specialist Senior Associate

With PwC, you'll ignite a meaningful career while being supported by a flexible working culture, innovative learning and development opportunities and progressive policies and benefits, such as 18 weeks paid parental leave for mums, dads and foster carers (no minimum service)

    What will you create?

Trust and Risk bring this to life by helping clients to protect and strengthen every aspect of their business; from people to performance, systems to strategy and business plans to business resilience.

As a SOx Specialist in our CFO Advisory team your impact will be seen by:

Partnering with clients to help them mitigate the risks they face, by developing recommendations to strengthen existing controls and processes

Providing clients with confidence in their governance and controls by executing a range of financial control and business process reviews, often with a focus on Sarbanes Oxley compliance (SOx)

Supporting clients through their SOx implementation journeys, either part of their initial IPO process, or following acquisition by larger SOx compliant entities

Helping clients navigate an evolving risk landscape by developing and executing SOx test plans, identifying control effectiveness and improvements and reporting these to clients in an impactful way.

Our primary focus is on design effectiveness, we help to find practical solutions to mature internal control environments.

    About you

You have a background in governance, risk and controls (including Sarbanes Oxley compliance) and finance.

You have an inquisitive mind and seek to understand the commercial issues facing businesses and want to influence client conversations.

It's time to take the next step in your career away from control effectiveness testing, to focus on the future design and implementation of solutions.

You're excited about helping your clients innovate controls monitoring programs that provide insight that risk is being effectively managed.

You're collaborative and enjoy working in an innovative environment.

You're a problem solver by nature and want to join a firm that values people who reimagine the possible for their clients and stakeholders.

Most importantly, you act with integrity and show care for the people you work with.
