    About the role

    The role of the Hardware Engineer – Technology is responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Responsible for the design, specification, test documentation, procurement specifications, implementation, testing and support for hardware subsystem
  • Support the Engineering function in delivering assignments to government and private clients across Australia; which may include research and analysis, technical report writing, business and information systems and project management
  • Work with ICS engineers to develop technical report: scenario/proof of concept, performance requirements, risk model, cybersecurity requirements & mechanisms/technologies to meet requirements, impact on performance.
  • Monitor external design consultants (where applicable) to ensure that the elements of their design (including verification) are coordinated with overall design, procurement and construction requirements;
  • Undertake any adhoc projects, initiatives, tasks as directed by the Supervising Engineer (Controls) or nominee.
  • About You

  • 4 year degree qualification to Bachelor status in engineering (or equivalent industry experience in the absence of a degree).
  • Experience in the industry (in infrastructure, technology or related market verticals)
  • Experience as a software/hardware engineer with a track record of delivering positive business impact and high-quality code; in areas such as developing Cloud Native Applications, Mobile & Web Apps, and/or Integration Solutions and architecting IT system with applications, infrastructure, data
  • Experience in configuring ICT equipment such as servers, SANs etc.
  • Experience with full stack JavaScript and .NET Frameworks and Tools e.g., AngularJS, ReactJS, NodeJS
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
