    The Role
    The Centre for Learning and Teaching is seeking a Learning Technologies Support Officer who will actively support academics to adopt the suite of technologies available at the University and promote innovative use of emerging technologies.

    This role will provide academic staff support, instruction and resourcing for centrally supported teaching and learning technologies. The aim of this support is to maximise the understanding, adoption and effective employment of those technologies to achieve learning and teaching goals, Centre objectives and enhance the student learning experience.

    Key Criteria
    Suitable candidates will meet the following selection criteria:

    • High technological aptitude and capability, including ability to learn new systems
    • Familiarity with a range of learning technologies in a Higher Education environment is considered desirable rather than essential. The successful applicant will receive extensive training in the use of Canvas, Turnitin, Panopto, MS Teams and other technologies
    • Exceptional customer service is crucial as the role is required to engage with both academic and professional staff on a day-to-day basis;
    • Excellent communication skills, particularly the ability to discuss and impart knowledge with staff of differing technological capabilities
    • The ability to work cooperatively with others to accomplish joint tasks and common objectives;
    • Able to anticipate and resolve problems, being proactive to minimise issues and initiating action to deal with problems when they arise

    You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University's values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence, and Courage.

    Benefits & Remuneration
    This full time, position attracts a remuneration of $78,854 to $87,624 (HEW 5) p.a. plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
