    Position Details

    As the Boarding Manager you are responsible for the day-to-day management of the Boarding House to support a safe and nurturing environment for our residential students.


    Your day will look like:

    • Working closely with Boarding House Parents and College leadership.
    • Maintaining the boarding house in good working order.
    • Supporting student fulfilment of daily routines and meeting the expectations of the boarding house.
    • Building strong relationships with families and Community.
    • Managing boarding resources effectively.
    • Providing opportunities for our young people through activities and events.
    • Addressing student health and safety concerns.
    • Effectively communicating with the college and families.
    This is an ongoing full-time position commencing on 22 April 2024.


    In the role, you will undertake shifts at the boarding house 5 days a week including one day per weekend.

    As the first point of escalation for Boarding House Parents, you will be on call whilst students are in residence.

    Selection Criteria and Qualifications Required

    To be successful in the role, you will need:


    • Experience in a residential care setting, preferably in a managerial position.
    • Hold relevant tertiary qualifications in human services or residential care.
    • Have an understanding of and sensitivity to the spiritual and social needs of the Aboriginal Culture.
    • Flexibility in working hours with the ability to live in residence during rostered shifts including overnight shifts.
    • To hold or willingness to undertake a Senior First Aid Certificate and School Teacher Aquatic Rescue Training.
    • To hold or willingness to undertake an MR Bus Licence with PTA Authorisation.
