    The Role

    Reporting in to the Head of Sourcing and Partnerships, the Supplier Management Specialist is a newly created role, responsible for supporting and governing the execution of the MLC Life Insurance supplier management framework, for assigned MLCL material supplier relationships to deliver effective commercial management of these relationships.

    Working in close collaboration across the team and with other Sourcing Specialists, you will align and support on category strategies and objectives and ensure the upstream sourcing activities look to embed and optimise the elements to ensure successful and smooth supplier management post-signing.

    You will also be responsible for supporting the Head of Sourcing and Partnerships in the ongoing development and uplift of the MLCL supplier management framework, policy, processes, tools, reporting and systems.

    About you

    An experienced Supplier Management Specialist, you possess a minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar capacity.

    You possess hands-on experience in executing across all aspects of the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including category strategy and management, source to contract market activities, negotiation and execution, contractual/deal expertise, performance management and risk management processes.

    You thrive in a fast-paced environment and is able to support both your internal and external stakeholders to achieve their enterprise goals through supplier organizational capabilities; mitigation of external risks; internal process improvements; and delivery of business outcomes.

    Lastly, you possess outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal) that will enable you to influence and drive meaningful decision making.
