    What can our construction projects build for you?

    CPB Contractors along with our industry partners are delivering two major packages for the Cross River Rail Projects: the Tunnel, Stations and Development (TSD) package and the Rail, Integration and Systems (RIS) package. Cross River Rail is a new 10.2 kilometre rail line from Dutton Park to Bowen Hills, which includes 5.9 kilometres of tunnel under the Brisbane River and the CBD.

    RIS is delivered by the UNITY Alliance made up of CPB Contractors, UGL, AECOM and Jacobs together with partners HASSEL, RCS Australia, Acmena, Martinus Rail and WIRED Overhead Solutions to deliver the full scope of works through to 2025. Scope of works include:

    • Rail civil and electrical works
    • Brownfield rail surface works primarily to the north of the tunnel, including an upgrade of Exhibition Station and a major augmentation of Mayne Yard
    • Upgrade of seven suburban stations to the south
    • Rail operational systems works
    • Rail signalling works and communication, and integration and commission activities.

    Your opportunity

    Reporting to the Finance Manager, we have an opportunity for an experienced Project Accountant to partner with the business in all financial matters, providing information and advice to our project stakeholders on aspects of UNITY's financial performance.

    You will be responsible for:

    • Monthly and ad hoc reporting for the project in a timely and accurate manner;
    • Ensure accounting and cost controls are in place and effective.
    • Maintenance of project accounting systems, (e.g. chart of accounts, budget information, etc);
    • Development & support of automated and systems-driven reporting;
    • Liaise and build working relationships with Project teams, other members of the wider Finance Teams

    Our minimum requirements for this role are:

    • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance;
    • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role including previous construction industry experience;
    • JDEdwards experience would be highly regarded;
    • Strong technical accounting knowledge;
    • Strong computer literacy and sound knowledge of accounting software;
    • Advanced skills in Excel, intermediate skills in Word and PowerPoint
