    Why Your Role Matters

    :

    As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Operations Director and Program Operations Lead in the Clinical Research Unit (CRU) to develop and deliver UNSW Medicine & Health's CRU strategic priority around high quality clinical research. The role will require stakeholder management with key groups within UNSW and collaboration with the UNSW affiliated network.

    You will apply your superior knowledge of research methodology to develop and manage timelines, milestones, and deliverables across the entire life cycle of CRU projects.

    The Project Manager reports to the Program Operations Lead and may have direct reports in the future.

    Who You Are:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a health-related field, or relevant equivalent work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Good Clinical Research Practice Guidelines with substantial (at least 7 years) relevant experience in the conduct of clinical research, preferably in an academic setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in the set-up, coordination, monitoring and close out of clinical research projects including development of study documentation such as project plans, study protocols, Patient Information and Consent Forms, and manuals of operations and monitoring plans.
  • Experience planning and implementing study logistics including central laboratory specimen collection, shipment and storage, drug distribution and drug accountability processes.
  • Experience in budget development and/or management including reporting to funding agencies and resource allocation.
  • Demonstrated experience providing guidance and support to research project teams.
  • Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also to take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands.
  • Good computer knowledge and skills in using various tools, applications, and systems.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective clear interpersonal and written communication skills across various levels of stakeholders.
