    An exciting opportunity exists for two highly motivated experienced investigators and team players to join the Investigations Unit as Senior Investigation Officers in the Quality Assessment and Regulation Division (QARD), Department of Education, the Victorian Regulatory Authority for early childhood education and care services. Quality Assessment and Regulation Division (QARD) approves and regulates about 4,900 ECEC services operating across Victoria. We strive to be a best practice regulator and use a range of strategies to deliver regulatory outcomes. Our role is to ensure service operators provide safe, high-quality learning environments for all children attending their services.

    There are two x Senior Investigations Officer positions available in the Investigations Unit, the roles are responsible for leading serious and complex investigations, investigative planning and providing advice and recommendations on investigations, sanctions and other compliance matters within the regulatory framework. The positions require strong quality and compliance reporting skills, strong interviewing and statement taking experience, demonstrated experience in conducting complex investigations and assessments and a comprehensive knowledge of the broader regulatory and Early Childhood environment.

    The successful candidates will also have demonstrated experience in effective management of relationships with internal and external stakeholders andhigh-levelinterpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills.

    There are two full time (ongoing) positions available at the VPS5 level based in Melbourne.
