    Our Category Managers are key in driving the growth, innovation and commercial execution of each category within our Purchasing team By taking ownership of the category strategy to continuously to expand the customer offering, our team ensures an amazing range of high quality product and a great user experience for our customers

    You'll be responsible for:
    • Identifying commercial opportunities for category expansion including sourcing and developing new products
    • Engaging and sourcing key suppliers in World's best brand and 's Exclusive Brands
    • Managing and engaging with key stakeholders, internally and externally, to build effective working relationships and achieve outcomes in alignment with the category strategy
    • Ensuring the most efficient logistics, warehousing and shipping options are chosen for each product
    • Maximising profitability of all products, through a depth of understanding of your category and the market
    • Being proactive, innovative and striving to continually develop your category for our customers
    • Actively negotiating the best possible trading terms and prices
    • Drive and control our promotional strategy and price changes across our different sales channels, and contribute towards pricing reviews when required
    • Ensuring timely sourcing and purchase of products and stock management, ensuring fulfilment of customer demand
    • Actively manage and monitor inventory levels to achieve company goals and KPIs. This includes planning promotional activity and actively reacting to market conditions Ensuring revenue and profit targets are exceeded every month
    • Monitoring performance and completing range reviews across your category and recommending actions where necessary
    To be successful in this role, you should be:
    • University Degree qualified in a relevant field (Commerce, Business, Entrepreneurship,Merchandising, Planning, eCommerce or similar)
    • Experienced as a Category Manager, preferably within an eCommerce, Retail or FCMG environment
    • Comfortable building and maintaining effective relationships, through exceptional communication and engagement
    • Highly analytical and possess commercial nous, being able to recognise opportunity and make quick, impactfuldecisions for the best commercial outcomes, so that we cancontinue to sustainablyoffer market-leading pricing to our customers.
    • Comfortable working within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Being agile, flexible and adaptable is key to success
    • A whiz with Microsoft Excel (we're talking VLOOKUP and pivot tables, not SUM and AVERAGE - and we will test your capabilities).Tech savvy and able to use various IT and cloud-based tools to improve efficiency and productivity.
    • Able to apply logical thinking and think critically in interpreting data, leading to actionable insights to improve the best possible outcomes.
    • Ready to challenge, be challenged, and work within our highly disruptive business model.
